What is Intensive Outpatient Treatment?
An intensive outpatient program (IOP), also known as an intensive outpatient treatment (IOT) program, is a structured non-residential treatment program which addresses mental health and substance use disorders.

Through a combination of group therapy, individual and family therapy patients are provided with structured support for recovery. IOP operates on a small scale and does not require a residential component. IOP is typically 6-10 hours per week.
