Michelle Bourdo

Michelle received her Bachelor of Arts in Painting while working as a Line Therapist with children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. After graduation, Michelle co-facilitated an art experience with senior citizens at an art museum where materials and history combined. Michelle knew at this moment that art was more than the product. Art was the process of creating between individuals, time, space, communication, and materials.

Michelle graduated from Mount Mary University with her Master of Science in Art Therapy while working at a psychiatric/behavioral health hospital and interning at a community shelter for the homeless and an Art Therapy private practice. Michelle operates from an Experiential Therapy background with a trauma-focused, multi-cultural lens with over 10 years of facilitation of artistic directives and movement-based initiatives. Michelle has worked with all ages and demographics.

Michelle specializes in working with individuals that struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma and obsessive compulsive disorder. Michelle enjoys helping individuals that desire change and want to create ownership of their healing process.

Get to know Michelle

"I am an ally to humans, plants, animals, and the Earth. I am client-led, and will follow and support you on your therapeutic journey and your choice of self-exploration. By highlighting and encouraging your authentic self, I will help you towards rediscovering yourself.

I love being withmy plants, pup and people! I can be seen throwing clay on my pottery wheel in the garage, playing in the garden, or at the local dog park. I also values simply being without a lot going on."
